HLA Typing (Class I and Class II) for Solid Organ and Stem Cell Transplantation

Description:
A variety of methods and technologies are used, including Next Generation Sequencing (NGS), PCR-SSP and PCR-SSOP (Luminex) to determine HLA Class I (HLA-A, B, C) and HLA Class II (DRB1/3/4/5, DQB, DQA, DPB, DPA) alleles. The results achieved can be reported at a variety of resolution from low (1st field) to high (3rd Field) as required. Routinely all initial HLA types will be tested by NGS to high resolution, 2nd Field, unless otherwise requested.
