Daratumumab Immunofixation
Description:
Daratumumab is a fully humanized IgG kappa monoclonal antibody that targets the CD38 protein, thereby destroying multiple myeloma cells. In serum protein electrophoresis and immunofixation, daratumumab can simulate an endogenous IgG kappa paraprotein band which can lead to result misinterpretation. In such samples, confirmatory test for absence or presence of M-protein may be required in monitoring myeloma patients using the hydrashift daratumumab immunofixation.

Samples may be stored for up to 7 days between 2 – 8˚C and 3 days between 19- 25˚C. Frozen sera are stable for 3 months between -26 - 30˚C.
