Qualitative or quantitative chemiluminescent immuno-assays used to diagnose primary EBV infection and determine EBV status. Test comprises EBNA IgG, VCA IgM and, if required, VCA IgG. EBV profile is included in the glandular fever screen, with CMV IgM and toxoplasma gondii IgM. EBV viral load testing may aid interpretation. This assay is available routinely Mon to Fri. Please Note: This test has not yet been assessed by UKAS for ISO15189: 2012 compliance.
Used to determine EBV status pre-transplant/immunosuppression and test for post-transplant seroconversion.
