Consultant Histo/Cytopathologist

Dr Ashish Chandra is a consultant histopathologist and cytopathologist based at Guy’s & St. Thomas’ NHS Trust, London where he was Clinical lead of the department from 2009-2012. He continues to be the Lead consultant for Cytopathology and Urological histopathology.

He is experienced in gynaecological and non-gynaecological cytopathology and has a special interest in Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA) including Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS and EBUS) guided FNA.

He is an examiner for the RCPath and also organises courses for the British Association of Urological Pathologists (BAUP), the British Association for Cytopathology (BAC) and the RCPath. He regularly presents talks and workshops at Cytology Training Schools in the UK and at international conferences. He is currently writing a book ‘100 cases in Clinical Pathology’ for medical students and is on the NICE Guidelines Development Group for bladder cancer.
