Rapid test for Rotavirus and Adenovirus Antigen, used for testing samples of diarrhoea from children under 5 years old.
Clinical details: 
Rotavirus and Adenovirus are important causes of viral gastroenteritis in children. Rotavirus is the most important viral cause of severe gastroenteritis in children worldwide. Symptoms are vomiting, fever and non-bloody diarrhoea and severe complications can occur. Adults are less severely affected. Symptoms can be protracted in the immunocompromised.

Storage and transport: 
Place labelled sample in a sealed sample bag and send to Central Specimen Reception (CSR). Please store samples in refrigerator if a delay in sending samples to CSR is unavoidable.
