Reference range: 

0.5 – 4.0 ug/L Normal, although does not absolutely exclude a localised prostatic cancer.

PSA is also raised in other conditions, e.g. BPH, prostatitis, prostatic infarction, UTI, transuretheralresection of prostate (TURP) and prostate biopsy. A rise of >20%/year refer for further investigation.
