Place tube containing aspirate in sterile universal container. Place the container in a sealed plastic bag.
Turnaround time: 
1 - 2 working days
Special sample instructions: 

Do not send repeat specimens within four weeks if positive.

Storage and transport: 
Specimens should be transported and processed as soon as possible. If processing is delayed, refrigeration is preferable to storage at ambient temperature.
