Non- Rh/ K phenotyping

Description: 
When antibodies are detected in a patient’s plasma, the phenotype is tested to act as confirmation of specificity, and to aid in selection of blood where the antibody identified is deemed to be clinically significant.In the presence of significant red cell antibodies, the patients are typed for the antigen and antithetical antigen of the antibody present.
