Description: 
Isolation, identification and susceptibility of any organism likely to be pathogenic
Clinical details: 
Patients with renal or bladder stones are at risk of urinary tract infection. In the face of antibiotics urine cultures can be negative but organisms may still be recovered from the stone or stone debris.

Specimen in a sterile universal container
Turnaround time: 
2 - 3 days
Storage and transport: 
Samples should be refrigerated if transport to the laboratory is delayed
