Clinical details: 
Genital Tract infection
Sample type and Volume required: 
High vaginal swab -Use black top charcoal transport swab if
Neisseria gonorrhoeae is suspected.
Send Urine sample to Virology if
Chlamydia investigation required
Turnaround time: 
3 days
Storage and transport: 
Place labelled sample in a sealed sample bag and send to Central Specimen Reception (CSR). Do NOT refrigerated.
