Therapeutic Drug assays eg Rifampicin, Rifabutin, Streptomycin, Ethambutol, Flucytosine, Itraconazole, etc.

Sample type and Volume required: 
2.5 – 5ml Yellow Top Serum Separation Tube (SST) Clotted Blood (for serum).
These samples are sent to Reference Laboratory.
Turnaround time: 
5 - 21 days depending on assay requested
Special sample instructions: 

Please record when sample collected in relation to dosing of the drug in question.

Storage and transport: 
Place labelled sample in a sealed sample bag and send to Central Specimen Reception (CSR).
