David completed a PhD in Molecular Genetics at the Institute of Child Health, UCL, before joining the Division of Medical & Molecular Genetics at Guy’s Hospital as a postdoctoral research scientist in 1995.
He worked on early projects to investigate the spectrum of BRCA1 and BRCA2 mutations in breast/ovarian cancer patients.
In 1998 he joined the diagnostic DNA laboratory and obtained state registration as a Clinical Scientist in Molecular Genetics.
