Nutristasis Direct - How it works
Customers choose the tests they wish to have done from those available and proceed to the payment page. On this page they will get the option to select where to have their phlebotomy (bloods taken) done. The customer has the following phlebotomy options (we are currently unable to provide the postal packs for the tests. Anybody wanting tests will need to attend St Thomas’ Hospital for their sample to be taken):
- St Thomas’ Hospital (incurs an additional £25)
- Spire Healthcare Hospitals (Cardiff or Edinburgh) (incurs an additional £12 charge for a postal pack to be sent to the customer). The customer will incur a further £25 charge which will be payable to the Spire Hospitals for the phlebotomy service
- Other (incurs an additional £12 for the postal pack to be sent to the customer)
St Thomas’ Hospital
The customer must download and print the request form that needs to be completed and presented together with one form of photo identification (e.g. driving licence) for verification purposes to the Viapath Blood Test Centre. The Viapath Blood Test Centre is open between 7.30am - 6.00pm Monday to Friday, (last patient entry at 5.45pm) and located at St Thomas' Hospital, Ground Floor, South Wing, Westminster Bridge Road, London, SE1 7EH.
Spire Healthcare Hospitals
The customer will be sent a postal pack which will include a request form, sample tubes, instruction sheet and packaging for returning samples to Nutristasis Direct. It is the customer’s responsibility to contact the Spire Healthcare Hospital (Cardiff or Edinburgh) to arrange an appointment and make a payment of £25 for the phlebotomy (taking of blood) service. Contact details for the Spire Hospitals are as follows;
Cardiff Spire Healthcare Hospital
Once a patient has received the consumable and information pack from Viapath the patient should contact Sarah Owen on 02920 542510 to make the appointment. At this point the hospital will take all their personal details including a debit or credit card.
The patient will then attend the outpatient department at Glamorgan House, Spire Cardiff Hospital, Croescadarn Road, Pentwyn, Cardiff CF23 8XL, where we will take the relevant blood tests and give the bottles back to the patient.
The patient will settle the bill with hospital cashier (£25) before leaving (no invoice will be issued).
Once the blood samples have been taken these will be given to the customer and it is their responsibility to package them following the instruction sheet and return in the pre-paid packaging.
Edinburgh Spire Healthcare Hospital
Once a patient has received the consumable and information pack from Viapath the patient should contact Spire Edinburgh Hospital on 0131 316 2530 to make the appointment. At this point the hospital will take all their personal details including a debit or credit card.
The patient should then attend the Nurses Blood Clinic at Murrayfield Hospital, 122 Corstorphine Rd, Edinburgh EH12 6UD, where we will take the relevant blood tests and give the bottles back to the patient.
Spire Edinburgh will then send out an invoice following the patient’s attendance and charge £25 to the card they provided.
Once the blood samples have been taken these will be given to the customer and it is their responsibility to package them following the instruction sheet and return in the pre-paid packaging.
Other
The customer will be sent a postal pack which will include a request form, sample tubes, instruction sheet and packaging for returning samples to Nutristasis Direct. It is the customer’s responsibility to arrange alternative phlebotomy through their GP or Nurse.
